The Reporting & Analytics Manager will be an individual contributor within the Payment Strategy and Assurance team. This group provides consultative analytics and other services to multiple teams within the Finance, Marketing, Retail, and Care. Payment Strategy Analytics ensures teams have the appropriate tools, access to data, and analytical resources needed to enable quality, data-driven decision making.
Success in the Reporting & Analytics Manager role will require maintaining a close working relationship with multiple strategic and operational teams in the Finance, Marketing, Retail and Care organizations to better understand their analytical challenges, provide ad-hoc analytical support, and to help craft sustainable, quality analytics across the payments analytics space. The Reporting & Analytics Manager will also provide oversight of our Payment and Fee forecasting process including presentation of payment and fee performance to senior leaders throughout T-Mobile. The Reporting & Analytics Manager will excel in the areas of financial modeling (Excel) data manipulation and visualization, statistics, financial analysis, and reporting. This role will provide analytic and reporting recommendations to leadership to drive improved operational efficiencies, cost of payment reductions, and return on investment by creating and communicating complicated analyses concisely.

Essential Functions
- Assesses the needs of the business, prioritize projects and drive analyses to completion. Work cross-functionally as needed to enable data architecture and solutions that best meet the analytics and reporting needs of the business
- Gather complex data inputs from multiple sources, both internally and externally. Identify new data sources that will enhance business outcomes and support strategic and tactical objectives
- Use modern visualization tools such as Tableau to enhance business understanding through artistic, simple, and concise data story telling.
- Use statistical and other quantitative modeling techniques to analyze large data sets, identify business opportunities and quantify risks. Supports advanced analytics including prescriptive and predictive analyses
- Identify and communicate key insight behind reports and analyses to leadership team
- Complete complex ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting. Serves as a subject-matter expert on the team
- May assume project/initiative responsibility, and provide guidance to more junior employees or act as a team lead
Qualifications
Minimum Required
- 5+ years' experience in analytics and reporting leveraging innate curiosity to solve difficult problems
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of analytical concepts and techniques including: cost-benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis, predictive analytics/forecasting, optimization, decision trees, performance metrics and scoring
- 2+ years of experience utilizing statistical software such as R, SAS, etc.
- Expertise with BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Expertise with SQL querying language (MSFT SQL Server and Teradata)
- Some experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages (e.g. Python) a plus
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment
- Strong ability to think creatively and develop new solutions
- Able to build strong cross-functional relationships
